UPack & Frequently Asked Questions
Containers - containers are heavy and may mark your driveway, to avoid this problem some customers have timber available and ask the driver to place it under the container.
Size - most containers are 6.1 metres long by 2.4 metres wide by 2.4 metres high.
Power Lines - power lines, phone lines and over hanging trees, etc may make delivering a container difficult. To avoid delays, please advise us if an onsite check by a TFX representative is required.
Locks - containers are lockable and we ask that you use your own padlocks on the container and take the keys with you.
Deliveries - deliveries and pick-ups are by tilt tray unless otherwise arranged. Tilt trays are cheaper and can easily place container in your driveway.
Motor Vehicles - motor vehicles may be placed in your container but are not covered by our insurance policy, although most insurance companies will cover in transit on your comprehensive policy, please check with your insurer.
Payment - a deposit is required before the delivery date of the empty container and payment in full is required before the container travels interstate. We have all the normal payment options available to you (except American Express and Diners).
How long do I have to pack - this is up to you, we give you four free weeks use of the container including travel time. Most people tend to have the container in their driveway for a week or weekend.
Packaging - containers don't come with packaging, we can help with advice on how to go about it and where to obtain cheap or free packing materials.
How do they travel - most containers travel by rail around Australia, some go by road freight. We are only too happy to explain how and when your goods will travel,
40ft Containers - yes these can be arranged but in most cases deliveries are a problem in the suburbs, but if you have room for one we can arrange it.
Saving money - yes in most cases you will save, there are some exceptions and if we can't help we are only too happy to put you on to someone who can.
